How to Read Your Own Horoscope

I doubt that there's anyone on the planet that hasn't heard about horoscopes because they're present in each and every newspaper across the globe. However, even though you look at it each day you may not exactly understand what it is.

What is a horoscope?

Basically a horoscope is a kind of tool that is used in order to make astrological forecasts that are related to the lives of people. But, if at all you want to find out your horoscope there's some information that you need to know such as the time of your birth, the place as well as the date.

Once you've got all this information there are special mathematical calculations that are used in order to reveal a few facts of your life. You would even have a horoscope chart for yourself and it's unique to you based on the above information.

This chart is created considering the positions of the planets, stars, moon and our very own star - the sun. Using this chart you would be able to make predictions for the rest of your life. However, to understand it you need to learn astrology.

Reading your chart

Astrology could be compared to a language and learning it is just like learning a new language. Some people find it hard whereas for others it's just a walk in the part. Let's take a look at a few tips which could help you read your horoscope chart:

The main elements in astrology are fire, earth, water and air. Each of the 12 zodiac signs fall into one of these categories as under:

Fire - Leo, Sagittarius and Aries

Earth - Virgo, Taurus and Capricorn

Water - Pisces, Cancer and Scorpio

Air - Gemini, Aquarius and Libra

That's not all, there are also three modes known as the Fixed, mutable and cardinal as seen below:

Cardinal Signs - These are the forceful signs and are people who are adamant such as Aries, Capricorn and Libra.

Fixed signs - These are the people who are usually trustful and believe in people. That's the reason they're dependent on others such as Leo, Taurus, Aquarius and Scorpio.

Mutable signs - These are people who are not keen on things in life and are really flexible. They're adamant when they try though. Sagittarius, Pisces, Gemini and Virgo fall in this category.

Therefore there's a lot that can be said of a person just by looking at their star signs. If you want to be able to read your own horoscope it would be advisable to learn basic astrology in this field.

Astrologically, What Exactly Triggered What When Storm Sandy Hit the Jersey Shore?

The east coast of the USA just experienced something it has never experienced before. A storm named Sandy wreaked havoc from Virginia up through New Hampshire. Everyone is blaming the full moon. Yes, full moons effects tides but that is not enough to cause a disaster of this magnitude to occur. So let us see what was going on Monday October 29th, 2012, besides the full moon. Just a refresher, black Tuesday occurred on October 29th, 1929. Another hurricane by the name of Mitch devastated Central America and made landfall at Choluteca, Honduras on October 29th, 1998.

Many times I refer to either a planet stationing retrograde or stationing direct. I owe my knowledge of these stations to the late great astrologer Eleanor Bach. Many of you reading this never heard of her, much less met her. She was a dynamic NY astrologer who produced a monthly publication entitled "Planet Watch" where she informed her readers of planetary and asteroid stations, retrograde and direct, along with her interpretations of what could manifest when these points are transited. I attended many of her lectures on planetary stations. When I became interested Uranian astrology, I applied that knowledge to all the planetary stations.

In her lectures she said that when a planet stations to go retrograde, the energy of that planet gets infused onto that degree until the planet goes direct and crosses over that degree again. But when a planet goes direct the energy of that planet stays infused on that particular degree until the planet goes retrograde again. In February, 2012, Saturn went retrograde at 29 degrees 30 minutes of Libra, which remained a sensitive degree until June 25, 2012, when Saturn stationed direct at 22 degrees 45 minutes of Libra. Even though Saturn is currently in Scorpio, the 22 degree 45 minutes of Libra will have a Saturnian - influence until Saturn goes retrograde again. The same principle applies to all planets, especially Mercury. Since Mercury goes retrograde and direct three times a year, and Mercury not only has to do with all forms of communications - it also has to do with weather; it has to do with air, especially the winds and wind velocity.

Back to "Storm Sandy" which hit the Jersey coast almost four hours after the full moon. To see what was transpiring to cause such devastation, I first set up the chart of the full moon for Washington DC. I saw that the Sun and Moon were semi-square sesquiquadrate the vertex, which means that what occurred was meant to happen, or for lack of a better description, a fated event. At the same time the MC Cupido conjunction fell midpoint Saturn and the full moon and 22 ½ from Admetos. This planetary picture describes the destructions and death of many communities as well as physical deaths. Another planetary picture in the full moon chart involves Mercury, which was square Neptune with only a four-minute orb and both of these planets were semi-square Zeus, implying fierce winds and water. If Mercury/Neptune = Zeus wasn't enough, these planets also equaled 0º Aries/Mars, Jupiter, which further indicated a mass violent disaster that encompassed at least seven or eight states.

Now what does all of the above have to do with planetary stations, you ask? While everyone is focused on Mercury going retrograde the evening of the election, no one is looking at the 1 degree 26 minutes of Leo which was the Mercury station direct degree of August 8, 2012, which continues to be a Mercury sensitive degree until Mercury goes retrograde again. This will not happen until November 6, 2012 at 6:04 PM EST. One of the main triggers of events is the transit of the Sun and Mars over sensitive degrees. At the time the full moon was transiting Mars at 16 Sagittarius 22, making a sesquaquadrate to the Mercury station direct degree of August 8, 2012. Also at the same time, these two points = Pluto/Admetos, representing the violent winds which uprooted homes, businesses and people. The electricial transformers that blew, as well as the fierce fires that destroyed over a hundred homes in Breezy Point, astrologically is indicated by Uranus making a 22 ½ to Vulcanus (never forget that 22 ½ can be a murderous aspect, literally and figuratively speaking).

Storm Sandy hit land on the Jersey shore at around 8:00 PM EDT. The transiting Sun/Saturn = the midpoint of the Moon and the Mercury station direct of 8/8/12, and the midpoint of these four planets was 22 ½ to Admetos, as the Moon = 0º Aries/Mars, Jupiter. When Mars is combined with Jupiter it can mean fortunate activity, or enlarged anger and/or violence, in this case it was the latter. Add Admetos into the mix, and you get intense and focused violence. Then you add Saturn, Sun, Moon and Mercury energy to the equation and you end up with violent winds that caused the physical and emotional destruction and disaster that will be very slow in healing and rebuilding. The hopelessness people feel is described by the Mercury, Neptune = Sun/Moon, as many are reduced to tears as they feel victimized by Sandy.

Another poignant planetary picture is Sun/Admetos, real estate, = Venus/Hades is to grieve, and we have seen many grieving over their destroyed homes and businesses. The last planetary picture I want to bring to your attention is Mars/Jupiter 22 ½ to the Uranus station retrograde of July 12, 2012 at 8 degree 32 of Aries, which brought about this sudden mass violence destructive eruption/occurrence.
